Description

A group of railway passengers are stranded overnight in a remote English country station, where the station master warns them of a ghost train said to doom all who see it. Skeptical but with nowhere else to go, the travelers remain, their uneasy interactions building suspense until the terrifying apparition finally arrives.

Historical Notes

Written by Arnold Ridley. Premiered in Brighton, UK, in 1923 before moving to St Martin's Theatre in the West End and running through 1927. Premiered on Broadway at Eltinge 42nd Street Theatre on August 25, 1926.
