Description:
A professor of anatomy is lured to a prize-fight, and the police make a raid on the "mill." The professor escapes to his home, followed by Jones, a travelling salesman, who sells hymn books when he can, and playing cards when he cannot. The police are on the trail, so Jones disguises himself by putting on a Bishop's garb, and a lot of funny complications ensue. The other funmakers are aided not a little by an escaped lunatic.

Historical Information:
Written by George Broadhurst. Premiered at the Manhattan Theatre on August 30, 1897.

A Red Feather Players Production staged to benefit the local Community Chest.

The Red Feather was a symbol used by Community Chest organizations, the predecessors to the United Way. These organizations raised funds for social welfare agencies and used the red feather as a symbol of their commitment to helping the community. The "Red Feather Campaign" was a common name for their annual fundraising efforts.
During the rehearsals for this play, a "Little Theater" organizing meeting was held on the evening of Monday, January 13, 1946 at 814 N. Halifax in Daytona Beach. The Daytona Beach Little Theatre was formed at a second meeting on the evening of Wednesday, January 15, 1947, when by-laws were voted on and officers were elected.
